In waste management, progress isn’t measured by promises—it’s measured by what’s properly handled, responsibly recycled, and permanently kept out of landfills.
For Maine Labpack, 2025 marked a pivotal year. Together with our customers and partners across New England, we reached milestones that reflect not only growth but meaningful environmental impact throughout the region we serve.
Turning Responsibility into Measurable Results
Across healthcare, education, laboratories, municipalities, and industry, proper waste disposal is a critical—but often invisible—part of protecting people and the environment. In 2025, Maine Labpack helped make that impact visible.
Here’s what responsible waste management looked like this year:
- 200+ tons of waste properly disposed of in 2025
- Over 4,000 cubic yards of medical waste was diverted from landfills
- 31,000+ pounds of mercury, lead, and other heavy-metal-containing universal waste recycled
Each of these numbers represents risk reduced, contamination prevented, and compliance upheld—on-site and across the region.
A Bigger Picture: Long-Term Impact Since 2020
While 2025 was a standout year, it’s part of a broader effort that has been building momentum for years.
Since 2020, Maine Labpack has helped customers divert:
- More than 3 million pounds of specialized waste from landfills
- Nearly 1 million pounds of hazardous waste has been properly disposed of over the last five years
These aren’t abstract achievements. They translate directly to safer facilities, healthier communities, and a more sustainable waste infrastructure for New England.
